Founded in 2012, Innovative Plastek Solutions in the beautiful Shoals area of North Alabama was originally established as a urethane molder creating decorative furniture parts. We found a niche in the southern USA with no service for plastic décor for southern furniture manufacturers. Now we offer quality decorative plastic to the furniture industry at a lower cost than the big northern plastic manufacturing companies. Turning urethane parts into injection molded parts has allowed us to provide even lower costs to the furniture industry, consumer products, automotive, and other industries.

Urethane casting involves the pouring or injection of polyurethane resins, curatives, and additives into a silicone mold, typically crafted for low to medium production volumes. The process entails four key components: polyol compound, diisocyanate, curatives, and additives. Additives are incorporated to facilitate processing and imbue desired attributes like color, UV resistance, flame retardancy, and anti-static properties. Urethane castings boast a diverse range of mechanical properties, including hardness, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, and strength. Due to their customizable nature, urethane castings find application across various industries, including consumer products, automotive components, medical devices, shock absorbers, and more.
